This tree belongs to the magnolia family. It produced skinny fragrant white flowers that older Chinese ladies would wear as a brooch. It shed all the flowers and leaves in the winter time. I drew the tree because I like the form of it. It did not survive the freeze one year and I’m glad to have a memoir of it.
